My Lambert Family

When I embarked on tracing my family history last year I had no idea what I would find out over the next 12 months and that I would be asked by Brenda Pittam to write a little about my Lambert family.

 

I am the granddaughter of Marian Ethel Lambert whose parents were John Joseph and Elizabeth Lambert.

During the course of my research I have found a distant cousin, Stan Turner and my cousin Elizabeth (Betty) Genet who is the daughter of Ellen Elizabeth Lambert (sister to my grandmother). Betty has been most helpful and many of the photos you will find with this brief scenario have been provided by her and I offer my sincere thanks to her for all her help.

 

You will no doubt have read Stan’s article and seen his family tree – well Stan and my Lamberts are linked at Richard Lambert. Richard Lambert married Eliza Holton and they had 7 children. Richard and Eliza’s son John Lambert (b: 1837) is my great great grandfather.
