Alexandra Rose day was inaugurated in June 1912. Proceeds went to London Hospitals.

Hanslope over-70s c.1929 outside the Cock
This photograph appeared in the 6 July edition of the Bucks Standard.
It is thought that the occasion was an outing for gentlemen of the village who were over 70 years of age organised by Fred Belham who ran the bus service in the village from Gold Street .

Over 70s outing 1929, outside the Cock
This photo appeared in 6 July 1929 edition of Bucks Standard. The occasion was an outing for village over-70s organised by Fred Belham who ran the bus service from Gold St opposite the Watts Arms.
