DOROTHY WARREN We would like to dedicate this site to Dorothy Warren who had a passion for the history of the village. In her lifetime she recorded many small details of village life that all add up to give us a much better idea of what it would have been like to live in Yardley Gobion over the last 150 years. Within this site you will find several pieces of her work.

We would also like to thank all the people who have helped us so far with the loan of photographs or information. Thanks also to the Northampton Record Office who have made available photographs taken by Mr de Blois Leach early last century and the Phipps collection for us to photograph for inclusion.

Every little helps, be it information, copies of photos or help with transcribing documents, checking typed work or making a record of peoples’ memories. What about the history of your house or the land on which it stands, could you find out more?  If you have photographs that would be of interest, Brenda may be able to visit you and make copies to her laptop at your home.
