In the Name of God Amen the 14th day of July 1756 I Richard Dawson of Yardley Gobion in the parish of Potters Purry in the County of Northampton Victlor, being in perfect mind and Memory thanks be given to Almighty God Therefore calling to mind the Mortality of my Body and knowing it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and Ordain this my last Will and Testament, that is to say Principally I give and Recommend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God that gave it and my Body I Recommend to the Earth to be buried in Christian burial at the Discretion of my Executrix, and as touching such worldly Estate where it has pleased God to bless me with in this Life, I give, demise, and Dispose of the same in the following Manner and Form

I give and Bequeath to my Brother John Dawson of Grafton Regis, the sum of Five shillings I give and Bequeath to my Sister Mary Dawson of Yardley Goebion, the sum of Five Shillings I give and Bequeath to my Sister Mary Dawson of Grafton Regis Widow, the sum of Five Shillings I give and Bequeath to Jane Dawson my Dearly beloved Wife, whom I likewise Constitute make and Ordain my Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament, all and Singular my Lands, Messuages, and Tenements, with all my Cattle, Chattels, Household goods, Debts and Moveable Effects by her freely to be possessed and Enjoyed paying my Just Debts, Legacies and Burial Charges within Six Month after my Decss

And my Will is also, that Jane my Beloved Wife may Sell or cause to be sould any part or parts or all my Lands, Messuages, tenements Goods or Effects whatsoever or that she Dispose or give these my Lands, Messuages, Tenements, goods Chattels and moveable Effects, as she thinks Proper. And I do hearby utterly Dissallow, Revoke and Disanul, all and every other Testament, Wills, Legacies and Executors by me before Named, Ratifying and Confirming this to be my last Will and Testament. In Wittness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the Day and Year above Written

On the Ninth Day of July 1759 Jane Dawson the Sole Executrix named in the within written Will was then Sworn faithfully to fulfil the same and so forth and that the Deceased at the time of his Death was not possessed of a personal Estate to the Amount of £40
