In the name of God Amen this instant sondaye beinge the tenth of Aprill Ao Dm 1580 I Thomas Hoffe als backer of Yardlie gubyn in the parish of Potterspurrie als Estpurie in the Countie of Northampton Labourer beinge sicke in bodie; but of perfect memorie thanks be to god for it doe make this my Last Will and testament in maner and forme ffollowinge ffirst I bequeathe my soule to Almightie god my maker and Redemer and my bodie to be buried in the Churchyard of Perie aforesaid Itm I geve and bequeath to Jane my daughter xxs Itm I geve to my sonne John Hoffe xxs a grey mayer colt of thage of two yeares and two buck skynes redie dressed and a platter and a pewter platter dishe Itm I geve to my said daughter Jone a platter and a pewter dyshe Itm I geve to Ales Byllinge my daughter xxs one Loode of Woode a platter and a pewter dyshe. Itm I geve to John billinge my daughter Ales billingse sonne xijd Itm I geve to Jone my doughter xxs a pewter dyshe and a platter.
