Will of Thomas James Senior 1719

To All Christian people to whom These presents shall Come I Thomas James Senior of Yardley Gubben In the County of Northampton husbandman send greeting In our Lord God Everlasting: Know ye That I the said Thomas James for the Love and affection That I the said Thomas James doe bear unto my son Thomas James Junior and to my daughter Sarah James I being In perfect memory Have given granted And Confirmed and by this my present writing upon speciall trust that they shall pay and discharge all such debts and sumes of money as I shall stand Indebted In at the time of my death doe give grant and Confirme unto my said son Thomas Five pounds In money and all my wearing apparel both Linnen and Woolen and Jointly to my said son Thomas and daughter Sarah All and singular my goods Chattells Leases personall estate whatsoever utensills Household stuffe Implements of husbandry and other things of mine whatsoever that can or may be found within the Kingdom of Great Brittain provided either of them dye before me the survivor of them to have the whole To Have hold Lev… use dispose of take and Enjoy all my said goods Chattells Leases personall estate household stuffe and Implements and all other the premises aforesaid unto my said son Thomas James and my daughter Sarah his sister and the Longer Liver of them and their Executors Administrators and Assigns from henceforth for ever without any ma.. Claim challenge or demand whatsoever of or by any person or p[ersons] whatsoever other th.en five shillings which I Likewise hereby give unto my Wife Mary: And I the said Thomas James Senior all and singular the said goods chattels Implements and things whatsoever and all other the premises unto my said son Thomas and daughter Sarah their Executors administrators agt. all people shall and will warrant and for ever defend by those present of all and every which said goods chattels and premises I the said Thomas James Senior have put my said son Thomas and daughter Sarah In full and peaceable p[ossession] by the gift and delivery of one pewter plate which to the said Thomas and Sarah or one of the the day of the date hereof I have given and delivered In missing name of possession and seizin of all and singular the said premises In Witnesse whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 13th day of March In the fourth year of the reigne of our Sovereigne Lord King George etc. Annoque Dmi 1717/8
