The will nuncupative of Thomas Smyth als Caves of Yardley Gobion in the parishe of Potterspurie in the County of Northampton: yeoman, The Twelfe daye of Apprill in the yeare of our Lord god One thousand and Syxe hundred and Eighteene as followeth

Memorandum. That the day and yeare above written Thomas Smyth als Caves aforesayd did make and ordayne his last will and Testament nuncupative in theis wordes or the Lyke in effect as followeth ffirst he beinge of whole mynde and in good and perfect remembrance Committed his soule unto almightye god his maker and Redeemer and his bodie to be buried in the parishe Churchyard of Potterspurie abovesayd. Item he did geve and bequeath towards the repaire of the sayd parishe Church of Potterspurie Three shillinges foure pence Item he did geve and bequeath to his Sonne Thomas Smyth his best Cloake. And unto Thomas Scrivener his beinge sonne in Lawe, One Coate And unto Edward Scryvener his grand Child his other Cloake And unto Thomas Smyth the sonne of William Smyth of Yardley halfe a rood of barley. And unto John Wyndmell a poore boy one Coate. And unto I olde John ffrost one Coate. And to John Morcotte One Coate And to Richard Showler one Coate all which Cloakes and Coates before specified to be parcels of the apparel of the first before named Thomas Smyth als Caves These beinge witnesses Margaret Windmill Scrivener, Joane Windmill
