This is the last Will and Testament of me Richard Brown of Yardley Gobion in the parish of Potterspury in the County of Northampton Farmer being of sound mind memory and understanding First I will order and direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expences shall be fully paid and satisfied And I give and devise All that my messuage or tenement with the yard garden and appurtenances to the same belonging situate and being in Yardley Gobion aforesaid in the occupation of my Son William Brown and all other my real estate whatsoever and wheresoever whereof I have a disposing power to him my said Son William Brown his heirs and assigns for ever To hold the same unto and to the use of the said William Brown his heirs and assigns And I give and bequeath All and singular my household goods and furniture plate linen and china to my Son Michael Brown to and for his own use and benefit absolutely And all the rest residue and remainder of my said personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind the same may be (not hereinbefore by me disposed of) I give and bequeath unto my said Son William Brown to and for his own use and benefit he thereout paying all my just debts personal and testamentary expences as aforesaid And lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said Son William Brown sole Executor of this my Will hereby revoking all former and other Wills and testamentary instruments by me heretofore made and do declare this and this alone to be and contain my true last Will and Testament In witness whereof I the said Richard Brown the testator to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal this Twelfth day of June in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty four

Probate On the 2nd July 1825 William Brown of Yardley Gobion, Mason the sole Executor named in the within Will was then sworn well and faithfully to perform the same And that the deceased at the time of his death (which happened on the 24th December last) was not possessed of Goods Chattels and Credits to the value of one hundred Pounds – before me
