In the name of God Amen I Arthure Longvile of Bradwell Abbey in the Countie of Bucks Esquire beinge sicke in bodie but of good and perfect remembrance thankes be given unto God for the same Doe make this my last will and testament in manner and forme following First I bequeath my soule unto Almighty God my maker not doubting but that he for his infinite mercies sett forth in there pretious blood of his dearly beloved sonne Jesus Christ my Saviour and Redeemer will my soule into his glorie and place it in the Companie of heavenly Angells And my body I willingly give over and to the earth from whence it came to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named Item I give and bequeath unto my very lovinge wife Alice and unto my very lovinge friendes Edward Hughes of Woughton Doctor in Divinitie and John Hatch of Simpson Two partes in the three partes to be devided of all that my Mannor of Bradwell in the Countie of Bucks, and of all other my landes tenements and hereditaments whatsoever with their appurtenances in Bradwell aforesaid untill my sonne Thomas shall accomplishe the age of twentie and one yeares in trust and to the intent and purpose that they shall from time to tyme during the said tyme with the rentes yssues and proffitte there out arisinge educate and bringing upp or paie for the education and bringing upp of my said sonne Thomas and the rest of my Children in decent manner at schoole And after my said sonne Thomas shall accomplishe the age of twentie and one yeares my will is that my said wife and the said Edward and John shall hold and enioye [enjoy] the said two partes in three partes to be divided of all and singular my said Mannors Messuages landes or tenementes in Bradwell aforesaid for the terme of one and twentie yeares theme next ensuing in trust alsoe and to the intent and purpose that they theire Executors and assignes shall with the rentes issues and profittes thereout arising educate bring upp and maintain my three youngest Children and paie and discharge all such legacies and portions which are bequeathed and given by this my last will to anie of my Children or to anie other person whatsoever Item I give unto my daughter Elizabeth the some of Foure hundred poundes of lawfull english money which are a shall raised in manner following First I will that the said Alice my Wife Edward and John whome I do make and ordaine Executors of this my last will and testament shall sell and dispose of all my goodes Chattells and Cattell whatsoever to the best value and price as they can gett for them with the monies there are of arisinge first paie and discharge all such moneyes as shallbe necessarily expended in and about the Wardshipp of my said sonne Thomas And the residue I will they shall paie unto  fmy said daughter that her daie of marriage or age of one and twentie yeares which shall first happen And what soever money shalbe wantinge  unraised by reason of the sale and disposition of my said goodes Chattells of the said some of Foure hundred poundes given unto my said daughter Elizabeth as aforesaid I will shalbe raised and paid her at the times aforesaid out of the rentes yssues and profittes of the said two partes of my said some as aforesaid Item I give unto my sonne Francis on Annuity or yearly rent of twentie poundes per Annum to be yearly paid him during his natural life out of the said two partes in three partes to be devided of all my said Mannors landes tenements and hereditaments whatsoever with thappurtenances in Bradwell aforesaid to be paid him quarterly by even portions The first payment to become as his age of one and twentie years Item I give unto my sonne Edward one Annuity or yearlye rentof twentie poundes per Annum to be yearly paid him during his naturall life out of the said two partes in three partes to be devided of all my said Mannors landes and tenementes aforesaid to be paid him likewise quarterlie by even portions The first payment to begin at his age of one and twentie yeares Provided alwaise and the true intent and meaning of this my will is that if my said sonne Thomas at anie tyme after he shall accomplish the age of one and twentie yeares shall well and sufficiently secure unto my said Executors by Goodes security of such as their he shall like of aswell to paie for the maintenance and education of my three youngest children untill such tyme as their severall portions shall be paid unto them as alsoe for the paiement unto the said Francis and Edward my sonnes their severall annuities according to my Will and the payment unto my daughter Elizabeth all such sumes of money as shalbe paid unto the said Elizabeth at the time of such securities to be given of the said somme of foure hundred poundes herein given by me unto her according to the true intent and meaninge hereof, then I will that the said estate and terme of yeares hereby granted to my said Executors of the said two partes of my land as aforesaid shall cease and determine anie thing here in contained to the crime the contrarie in anie wise notwithstandinge And after the said estate ended and determined as aforesaid then I give and bequeath unto my said sonne Thomas and to his heires for ever all the satd two partes of my said land as aforesaid Item I had doe intreat to my said wife and the said Edward Hughes and John Hatch whome I have herein before appointed my Executors to see this my Will performed in all things And for the better performance thereof I do also request my loving kinsman Mr Thomas Tirrell Esquire and Mrs Jane Phillipps my mother in lawe to be overseers of this my last will and testament And further I doe desire my said Executors and overseers of this my Will ones in every yeere to meete and account what hath bin raised out of the said landes and what hath bin paid out of the some Item I give unto the said John Hatch for his paines takinge in this and other my busines the some of ten poundes whereof five pound to be paid nowe in hand, and the other five pounds to be allowed and paid him when he shall fullie finish his Executorshipp In witness whereof I have here unto set my hand the seventeenth daie of August 1631 Witnsess that this always was acknowledged and delivered by the said Arthur Longville Richard Evans, Edward Wrightman, Thomas Claver
