The Stantonbury map (circa 1850/60s) shows the development of housing for the railway workers by the London and North Western Railway Company. You will see the original street names, Top Street (later Bridge Street) and Middle Street (Spencer Street).
The annotations on the map refer to later development in the village. King Edward Street and Bounty Street were built at a later date.
