The same view of the eastern side of the High Street taken in 2006. When the hairdressers closed down the shop was taken over as the village Post Office. Sadly it closed down in 2005 as part of the national cutbacks by the Post Office. Permayne is shown on the right of the picture. In the background what was Welch’s is now a Chinese Takeaway.
