In the name of god amen The xxxth Day of December In the Yere of our Lord god a thousand five hundred xxxiiij [1534] I henry Looge of Stontanbarrey in the Countie of Buckinghamshire and within the diocese of Lincoln hole of mynde and good of remembrance partely sike in my body make this my testament and last Wille in manner and forme folowing  First I bequeath my soule to my maker Jesu criste to our blessed lady of hevyn my body to be bured in the Chapell of our blessed Lady within the parishe Church of Newportpaynell  too nigh the grave of my first wife as my executors can devise In the name of my mortuary I geve and bequeathe according to the kings acts  Item to the mother Church of Lincoln xijd [12d] Item I bequeath towarde the Repacons [repairs]  of hamlyn? church vjs & vijd [6s 8d] Item to the Reparcions of myche Lynford Church vjs viijd [6s 8d] Item to the Repacions of Bradwell Churche vjs viijd Item to the Repacons of litill Linforde Chapell vis viijd Item towards the making of Stonebrige xs Item to every oon of my godechildren oon shepe I geve to Elizabeth my wife fourty pounds that is to sey twentye pounds in redy money and twenty pounds in Catell and also her house that I had with hur in Leighton Item to michaell Looge my son twenty pounds Item to Brian my sonne like wise twenty pounds Item to John my sonne twenty pounds Item to Richard my sonne twenty pounds Item to Anne my daughter twenty pounds Item to Elizabeth Bray my daughter vjl vjs viijd [£6 6s 8d] Item I geve to hugh Flecher and to Elyn my daughter foure pounds which restith in his handes at this present Day Item I will that William Looge my sonne Receyve and have the Rent of the house called the Sarsons hede in Leighton And the Rent of the house late Grane is in the said towne of Leighton unto suche tyme that be full money be paide unto John Prentys and his assignes for the landes in Lynford And after that the said money be fullie contented paide Then I will that John my sonne have the house called the Sarsons hede to hym and to his heires forever And likewise I will that Bryan my sonne shallhave Groves house to him and to his heirs forevermore Item I will that Richard Loose my sonne shallhave my house at Newporte to hym and to his heires forevermore Item I will that Elizabeth my wife have the custodye and use of the bequests of all such sumes of money as is bequeathed to my said Children gotten betwixt hir and me as before specified yff they com and be of lawfull age whiche sume of money extendith to fyve score pounds And if it fortune any of the said Children to departe or they come to Lawfull age and not married then I will that the legacye of the said Childe soe departed be demded amongs the other being alyve and soo from oon to another Item I will that William Loose have my landes which I purchased of Prentys of Lynford to him and to his heires forevermore And for lack of yssue of any of the said partd of the landes in every place and town to Remaiyn to the next of the blod and so from oon to another Item I bequeath to the bells  within the steple of Newport iijs iiijd I will that after the Rent be paide of the purches of Prentys of Lynford Willm Looge deliver unto Myhell my sonne fourty pounds of redy money forto purches asmorche Lande or howsing as the said sume of money doth or wille extende Item I will that Elizabeth my Wife have all my Implements of howsholde in every maner of condition except oonly the goblet of silver and gilt which was my mother in Laws masteres Millyat? late of Lyscome Item I will that my executors bryng  me honestly into erthe [earth] and pay my detts and to doo for my soule as they thinke best as they shall answere before God at the day of Judgement Item I will that an honest preest singe and pray for my soule and for my friends soules in the parishe of Newport pagnell by the space of two yeres And he to have for his Wags [wages] six pounds by the yere that is to say twelve poundes in the hole And I will that Sir Thomas Bryggs my Chapleyn shallhave the said P..uce and noon other preest yf it please hym to have it Item I give and bequeath to every oon of my P…nts aswell men as women oon shepe Item I will that William Looge have the Rent of two howsen in Leighton for term of five yeres towards the purchasing or delivering of the illeg or Value of fourty pounds to the beho.e of mighill his brother The Residue of my goodes not bequethed  I geve to William Looge my sonne whiche William and the said Elizabeth my wife and hugh Fletcher my sonne in law I ordeyn amd make executors of this my last Will and testament And I hartely desire master Nicholas Lovett of Slapton and master Richard Lovett of Lyscome to be overseers of the same And I will that either of them have for his labor xxs a pece These bing witnesses Sir Thomas Bryggs my Chapleyn Richard Gladwyn of Hedyn.ets Thomas Whalley of Lathbury with other moo roven the Day and yere Wm written

This is the Codycill of the last will of me the said henry Looge being in good mynde and parfite remembrance made and declared sithen the making of the said testament as hereafter ensuyth Also I geve and bequethe unto Richard Looge my sonne xij [12] acres of Land which was consetts lying in moche Lynforde Also I geve unto Elizabeth my wife the tithe of Litell Lynford for thrs hole yeres begynnynet in the feast of the Assumption of Our lady next comyng  and oon Rood Woode which lyeth in hanslopp parke towards the fynding of my Children which I had by her mentioned I give unto the same Elizabeth my Wife my Donne ambeling gelding to goo on pylgrymage for me whiche was for myn owne saddell And I will and charge her that she goo or ryde in pylgrymage for me to our lady of Walsinghm our lady of grace of Northampton and to our lady of Litell Buckhill And I will that her costs and charges that she and other that shall goo with her in doing the said pylgremage shall susteyne be borne and allowed to her of my goods
