In the name of God Amen the sixt day of September In the yeare of our Lord God One thousand six hundred fiftie fower I Thomas Basterfield of North Crawley in the Countie of Bucks Husbandman being sick in bodie but of perfect minde and memorie blessed be God for the same Doe make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following First and above all things I give and bequeath my Soule unto God trusting to be Saved by the all sufficient merritts of Jesus Christ my most mercifull Redeemer and my bodie to the Earth from whence it came to be buried according to the discretion of my Executor herein nominated and appointed Item for my worldly Estate I dispose thereof as followeth my Will is that my uncle Hugh Smith of Broughton in the Countie of Bucks aforesaid Yeoman whome I make my sole Executor of this my last Will and Tesatment shall have full power and authoritie to sell all my goods and Chattells to pay my debts and to discharge the Right of my buriall and my will is that the Overplus shall be equally devided amongst all my Children and I doe make John Seabrooke and Richard Maise of North Crawley aforesaid Overseers of this my Will and I doe give unto them and likewise to my Executor each of them a paire of gloves for their paines In Witness whereof I have hereunto putt my hand and seale the Day and Yeare above written Thomas Basterfield Theise being Witnesses Thomas Kendall Marie Basse

The six and twentith Day of Januarie In the yeare of our Lord God According to the Accompte and Computation of the Church of England One thousand Six hundred fiftie and fower before the Judges for the probate of Wills and granting Administrations lawfully authorized Letter of Administration with the will annext issued forth to Roger Hackett Curator assigned to John William Thomas and Robert Basterfield minors and Children of the said Thomas Basterfield deceased To administer all and singular the goods Chattells and debts of the deceased to the use and during the minoritie of the said minors he the said Roger Hackett being first truly to Administer
