In the Name of God Amen I Elisha Butcher of North Crawley in the County of Bucks Servant being weak in Body but of a sound and disposing mind memory and understanding Do therefore make and declare this alone to be my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say First I make and appoint my Brother Robert Butcher of Bletchley and my Brother in Law Geo.  Austin of North Crawley aforesaid to be Joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament Also I give and bequeath unto Geo: Austin aforesaid my Silver Watch by also the Bond that I bought of my Brother John Butcher which was given to him by Mr Wade of Cambridgeshire for the Consideration of Thirty Pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain and which should become due and payable to me or my Heirs about four years hence I give and bequeath unto my Brother John Butcher and my two Executors before named to be divided amongst them in equal Shares whenever the same shall be received also my Brother John Butcher owes me three Guineas which I lent him about two Years ago one of which I forgave him and my Will is that my two Overseers shall have the other two money one each Lastly all my wearing apparel and other my goods not herein before by me disposed of I give and bequeath unto my two Executors to be equally divided between them And I do hereby revoke all former Wills by me heretofore at any time made and I do declare this alone to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Elisha Butcher have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and Seal this eighteenth Day of January in the Year of our Lord 1783 The Mark of X Elisha Butcher Signed Sealed Published and declared by the aforesaid Elisha Butcher the Testator as and for his last will and Testament in Our Presence and attested and subscribed in his Presence and in the Presence of each other John Stan.ing Wm Goodman

This Will was proved at London the twenty eighth Day of March in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and eighty three before the Worshipful William Marcham Doctor of Laws Surrogate of the Right Worshipful Pater Calvert Doctor of Laws Master Keeper a Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oaths of Robert Butcher the Brother of the deceased and George Austin the Executors named in the said Will to whom Administration of all and singular the Goods Chattells and Credits of the said deceased was granted truly having been first sworn duly to Administer
