This is the last Will of me Hannah Foskett of North Crawley in the County of Bucks Widow made this first day of October in the Eighteenth year of the Reign of Our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and so forth and in the year of Our Lord One thousand seven hundred and Forty four First I Will that all my Just Debts and Funeral Expences be fully payd and satisfied by my Executor herein after named And Whereas my Son William Foskett is Indebted to me the Sum of three hundred pounds (One hundred of which I promised and is tyed to my Son Hugh Smyth of Little Woolston in the County of Bucks as part of his Wifes Fortune) my Will is that One hundred and Fifty pound part of the remaining two hundred pound shall be given to my said Son William Foskett And the other Fifty pound I dispose of in manner following that is to say First I give to my Grandson Hugh Smyth the Sum of Five pounds To my Grandson William Smyth the Sum of Forty pounds and to my Grandson Francis Smyth the Sum of Five pounds to be paid to them by my Executor at the Decease of their Mother Elizabeth Smyth And I do also Will and direct my son William Foskett to pay to his Sister Elizabeth Smyth yearly and every Year the Sum of Forty Shillings during her Natural Life as and for the Interest of the said Fifty pounds given by me to my Grand Children as aforesaid to her Sole and proper use during her Natural Life And I do further give to my Daughter Elizabeth Smyth all my Wearing Apparel both Linnen and Woollen And I do also give my Share right and title of two Bonds One from Mr John Mercer late of Northampton deceased The other from Samuel Cox late of Oundle Brazier to be equally divided betwixt my two Sons William Foskett and Hugh Smyth And Whereas I have a Mortgage from my Son William Foskett for the three hundred pounds aforesaid I do leave it in the Power and at the Discretion of my Trustees herein after named to relinquish the said Security from my said Son and take such other as they shall approve of for the Fifty Pound given by me to my Grand Children And I do nominate and appoint my Son William Foskett my Executor and Mr Richard Perrott of Newport Pagnel and my Son Hugh Smyth my Trustees for the money given by me to my Grand Children And do further Will that my Executor do pay to Each of my Trustees One and twenty shillings apiece for their Trouble Hannah Foskett. To all to whom these Presents shall come I the above named Hannah Foskett do direct and appoint that Whereas a Sum of money is due to me from the Effects of my Brother Billings Garrett of Carrington Cotton End in the County of Bedford lately deceased that the said Sum due to me whatever it is do go and be applied in manner following that is to say One Moity or half part to my Son and Executor m Foskett of North Crawley and the other Moiety or half apart to my Daughter Elizabeth Smyth the Wife of Hugh Smyth of Little Woolston in the County of Bucks for her Life and after her Decease to what Child or Children begotten of her Body She shall please to dispose of it to And I do hereby ratify and Confirm all and every other matters and things contained in my Will and do hereby declare this Codicil to be part of my said Will and do hereby declare this Codicil to be part of my said Will and Testament Witness my hand the Eleventh day of May One thousand Seven hundred Forty and five. This Will was proved at London (with a Codicil Annexed) before the Worshipful Robert Chapman Doctor of Laws Surrogate of the Right Worshipful John Bettesworth Doctor of Laws Master Keeper of Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted the Eleventh day of February in the Year of Our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Forty Five By the oath of William Foskett the son of the deceased and the Sole Executor named in the said Will to whom Administration was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said Deceased being first Sworn duly to Administer
