Private Carriage and Drift Roads
One private carriage and drift road leading out of the publick road hereinbefore described towards Astwood near the south west corner of Michael Nash’s pightle and by the south end thereof through and over the first allotment to the said Thomas Lowndes and the allotment to the said John Bolding to a gate leading into an Old Inclosure belonging to the said Richard Lowndes called Fields End Close which said road we do order award and determine shall be and remain of the breadth of thirty feet at the least in every part thereof as now staked and set out and shall be used as a private carriage and drift road by the said Thomas Lowndes, John Bolding and Richard Lowndes in respect of their several estates in the said parish of North Crawley and the owners and
occupiers tbereof respectively for the time being .
One other private carriage and drift road from and out of the pub lick bridle road and private carriage road hereinbefore described through the allotment of the said Richard Lowndes in Mill Hill field at or near the south east corner of the allotment to the said William Lowndes at Little Edensea Close through and over other part of the said allotment to the said Richard Lowndes by the west end of an Old Inclosure belonging to the said Richard
Lowndes called the Surry Close to a gate leading into an Old Inclosure belonging to the Reverend Doctor Atterbury called also the Surry Close which said last described road shall be and remain of the breadth of thirty feet at the least in every part thereof as now staked out and shall be used as a private carriage and drift road for the use and benefit of the said Richard Lowndes and Doctor Atterbury in respect of their several estates in North Crawley and by the owners and occupiers of the same respectively for the time being.
One other private carriage and drift road from and out of the publick road hereinbefore described as leading from North Crawley into a lane in the Old Inclosures near the homestead of Lord Trevor through and over the east side of the allotment to the said Lord Trevor to gate leading into an Old Inclosure belonging to William Cooke which said last described road shall be and remain of the breadth of twenty feet in every part thereof as now staked and set out and shall be taken and used as a private carriage and drift road for the said Lord Trevor and Catherine Lowndes Stone in respect of their several estates in North Crawley and the owners and occupiers thereof respectively for the time being.
One other private carriage and drift road from and out of the pub lick road hereinbefore described from North Crawley to Hurst End near the north east corner of the homestead of Home Close to Joseph Page through part of the allotment to the said Jospeh Page part of the allotment to the said William Cooke the east end of the allotment to the said William Barratt another part of the allotment to the said William Cooke the east side of the first allotment to the said William Foskett and the east end of the allotment to the said Edward Wallis to the corner of the Old Inclosures belonging to the said Edward Wallis and David Mortier which said last described road we do order award and determine shall be and remain of the breadth of thirty feet at the least in every part thereof as now staked and set out and shall be taken deemed and used as a private carriage and drift road for the use and benefit of the said Jospeh Page, William Cooke, William Barratt, William Foskett, John Goodman, Edward Wallis and David Mortier in respect of their several estates in North Crawley aforesaid and by the owners and occupiers thereof for the time being.
One other private carriage and drift road from the west end of a certain lane lying between the long close of the said William Foskett and the close called Knights Close belonging to the said David Mortier at Hurst End through and over the second allotment to William Foskett the second allotment to the said Lord Exeter into and over a small part of the south end of the first allotment to David Mortier and the allotment to the said Rector in Tickford Park Field to a gate leading into an Old Inclosure belonging to the said Ambrose Reddall called the Scratchinghills which said last described road we do order award and determine shall be and remain of the breadth of thirty feet and shall be taken deemed and used as a private carriage and drift road by the said Lord Exeter, William Foskett, David Mortier, Joseph Page, Ambrose Reddall and Thomas Lowndes in respect of their several estates in North Crawley aforesaid and by the owners and occupiers of the same estates respectively for the time being.
One other private carriage and drift road from and out of the last described road at or near the north east corner of Lower Brockhall Close through and over the allotment to the said William Foskett to the north west corner of the first allotment to the said Lord Exeter which said last described road we do order award and determine shall be and remain of the breadth of thirty feet at least in every part thereof as now staked and set out and shall be taken deemed and used as a private carriage and drift road by the said Lord Exeter, William Foskett and David Mortier in respect of their several estates in North Crawley aforesaid and the owners and occupiers of the same estates respectively for the time being.
One other private carriage and drift road of the breadth of thirty feet as now set out frorn the east end of a lane running from Little Crawley on the south side of the Ley Closes belonging to the said Catherine Lowndes Stone through and over the allotment to the said Catherine Lowndes Stone in Dean Field to the house of the Reverend Philip Birt in the occupation of s later which said last described road we do order award and determine shall be and remain of the breadth of thirty feet and shall be taken and used as a private carriage and drift road by the said Catherine Lowndes Stone and the said Philip Birt in respect of their several estates in North Crawley aforesaid and the owners an occupiers of the same estates respectively for the time being.
One other private carriage and drift road from and out of the pub lick bridle and private carriage and drift road hereinbefore described from Pound Lane to a lane in the Old Inclosures of the said Robert Cowley at or near the south end of the second allotment to the said Robert Cowley through and over the north end of the allotment to the said Michael Nash into through and over the allotment to the said Thomas Griggs to the house of Henry Higgins at a place called Bakers Bushes which said last described road we do order award and determine shall remain of the breadth of thirty feet at the least in every part thererof as now staked and set out and shall be taken and usd as a private carriage and drift road by the said Michael Nash the said Thomas Griggs and the said Henry Higgins in respect of their several estates in North Crawley aforesaid and the owners and occupiers of the same estates respectively for the time being.
One private footway from a certain cottage house belonging to the said Charles Chester in the occupation of situate near the moated close through and over the allotment to the said Thomas Sandon in Garden Field into the pub lick road on Up End Green which said last described road shall be taken and used as a private footway by and for the said Charles Chester in respect of the said cottage and the owners and occupiers of the said cottage for the time being .
