In the name of God Amen The nineteenth day of Aprill in the three and twentith yeare of the Raigne of our soueraigne Lord Kinge Charles over England etc Annoq domini One thousand Sixe hundred fortie seaven I Richard Kilpin of north Crawley in the Countie of Bucks yeoman, beinge sick in body but of perfect minde and memorie (Thankes be given to God therefore) doe make this my last will and Testament in manner and forme followinge Revoakinge all former wills First I bequeath my soule into the hands of Almightie God trustinge to be saved by the All sufficiente merritts of Jesus Christ my onely Saviour Redeemer, and for my body I committ the same unto the earth from whence it came to be buridd at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named Item I give and bequeath unto Richard Elizabeth and Hannah Horne sonne and daughters of my daughter Anne the late wife of Thomas Horne the summe of fortie shillings a peece of lawfull money of England to be paid unto them by my Executor hereafter named when they shall attaine their severall ages of One and twenty yeares or to the Survivor or Survivors of them Item I give and bequeath unto Alice my daughter the now wife of Samuell Impey the somme of forty shillings of lawfull English money to be paid unto her by my executor at the full end of one yeare next after my decease. Item I give and bequeath unto Thomas Richard Samuell and Mary sonnes and daughter of the Said Alice and Samuell Impey the summe of forty shillings a peece of like lawfull money to be paid unto them by my Executor hereafter named when they shall attaine their severall ages of one and twentie yeares if it shall happen that any of them shall departe their naturall lives before they attaine unto their severall ages as aforesaid that then their said portion or portions shalbe equally devided between the survivor or survivors when they shall attaine to their severall ages as aforesaid Item I give and bequeath to Mary daughter of my daughter Elizabeth the summe of five pounds to be paid unto her by my Executor when Shee Shall attaine her full age of one and twentie yeares Item I give bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth the some of one hundredd poundes of law Full money of England to be paid unto her by my Executor hereafter named in manner and forme following That is to say the somme of Twentie of like money at the full Summe of One hundred pounds be fully satisfied and paid Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary the summe of Two hundred pounds of lawfull money of England to be paid unto her by my Executor hereafter named when shee shall attaine unto her full age of Eighteene yeares and one and twenty yeares or within sixe moneths next after any of the dayes as the shall happen Item I give and bequeath unto my Sonne Richard and his heires forever the house wherein I now dwell and all my lands houses and Tenements whatsoever with their Appurtenances lyinge and beinge in the parish of North Crawley aforesaid or elsewhere And my mind and will is that if my said sonne Richard die without issue of his body lawfully begotten then the aforesaid promisses to come to my daughter Mary and her heires shee payinge the yearely Annuetie of twentie pounds at fowre usuall feasts or quarter dayes in the yeare unto my wife Elizabeth duringe her anturall life provided shee marry not againe. And alsoe my mind and will is that if my daughter shall departe her life having noe issie of her body, lawfully begotten then livinge then the afore bequeathed promisses to come and be to the sole use and behoofe of Richard Impey my Grandchild and his heires forever Item I will that if my daughter Mary shall happen to inioy [injoy] the afore bequeathed premises that then shee shall pay or reuse to be paid unto the Children of my late said daughter Anne Horne the summe of fitty pounds at the end of one whole yeare next after shee shall have the possession of all or any of the premisses (which shall then …eige) And alsoe the summe of fifty pounds of lawfull English money unto my daughter Anne Impye or to the Children of my said daughter Alice that shall then belivinge to be equally devided amongst them And I alsoe shall pay unto Mary daughter of my daughter Elizabeth Twentie pounds of like money if shee shalbe then livinge when my said daughter Mary shall possesse the premisses as aforesaid Item I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth my wife the summe of twentie pounds a yeare during her natural life in leiew of her Foyntune (over and besides the aforesaid  Annuetie of Twentie pounds) to be paied by my Executor at fowre payments by the yeae Vizt five pounds a quarter and the first payment to beginne at the end of three moneths after my decease. Item my will is that my said wife shall have the free use of the newe Palour and the two Chambers over the Parlor and the Chamber on the backside of that Chimney dureinge her life if shee marry not againe as alsoe necessary fire wood to be brought and laid at the Parlour doore at all times as shalbe needfull. Item I give unto my said wife the Bedstead furnished with bedding in the new Chamber over the new Parlor and the bedstead in the Chamber next the new Chimney adioyinge to the Chamber over the newe Parlor with all the furniture belonginge Item I give unto my said wife all my Brasse and Pewter and alsoe all the stooles and Chaires and other Implements in the new Parlor and in the Chamber over the same, and alsoe fowre Chests which are in the Chamber over the old Parlour and all the linen in them. Item my will is that all my goods bequeathed to my said wife shall after her decease be equally devided amongst my Children then living. Item I give unto my said wife all the moneys due unto me upon Bonds and Bills (excepting these bonds herafter named That is to say one Bond of Mr Nocholas Aneslye One bond of William Kilpin of Harlington Clerke and one bond of Richard Woddell and Henry Purrier both of Cranfield) which shaid bonds I give and bequeath unto my sonne Richard Kilpin my mind and will is that if my said wife shall marry againe that then thoses moneyes due upon all other bonds bequeath unto her as aforesaid shalbe to the sole use and behoofe of my daughter Mary yet nevertheless if my said daughter Mary shall marry without the consent of her mother that then the aforesaid money do and upon bonds bequeathed to her said mother aforesaid shalbe to the disposinge of my said Wife Item all the rest of my goods Chattles and Cattles unbequeathed I give unto my said sonne Richard whom I nominate and appoint my sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament and intreat my welbeloved brother Thomas Kilpin and Samuel Impye my sonne in lawe to be Overseers of this my last will and Testament, and I give them for their paines herein each of them a paire of Gloves to be delivered unto them by my Executor and I doe give unto the poore of the parish of North Crawley twenty shillings to be disposed by the discretion of my Executor And I give Tenne shillings for a funerall sermon. In witness whereof I have sett my hand and seale the day and yeare above written Richard Kilpin his marke sealed published and acknowledged in the presence of Wm Clarke Wm Mowbray Thomas Sarratt The marke of Richard Kilpin I the within named Richard Kilpin declare that it is my will that my Grandchild Richard Impey shall happen to inioye or possesse the within mentioned premises or any parte thereof  by uertue? Of this my will that then he shall pay out the bequeathed premisses the yearely Annuetie of Twentie pouns at the fower usuall feates or Quarter dayes in the yeare to my wife Elizabeth duringe her naturall life And shall alsoe pay the summes of fiftie pounds unto the Children of my late daughter Anne Horne to be paid the within one yeare next after his possession of any parte of the said premises And alsoe fiftie pounds to the Children of my daughter Alice Impey the said Richard Impey not to have any parte of it to be paid as aforesaid And alsoe shall pay to Mary the daughter of my daughter Elizabeth the summe of Twentie pounds of lawfull money within one yeare after he shall inioy or possess the premises or any parte of them I doe alsoe declare That the interlyminge of those words (Eighteene yeares and) in the three and twentith  line, and those words (or any) in the three and Thirteith line fowre and thirtith lines, and fowre Delineation  in the will were done by my discretion and consent beinge then in perfect memorie witness my hand and Seale the twentith of Aprill One thousand sixe hundred forty seaven.
