In the Name of God Amen I The Reverend Lowndes of North Crawley in the County of Buckingham Clerk do make this my last Will and Testament I appoint my Nephew Thomas Howard of Ordnance Office Executor of this my Will I direct him in the first place to pay all my just debts funeral and testamentary expences I give and bequeath to my Housekeeper Mary Whitton the sum of three hundred pounds which I direct may be paid to her in full free of legacy duty within one month after my decease and I give to the said Mary Whitton the whole of Linen for her own use and benefit I give and bequeath all other my Monies Scurities for money as well as a reclaim sum of one thousand pounds secured to me be a certain Policy of Insurance on my life in the University Assurance Office together with the advantages thereof and all my Plate China Household Furniture Goods Chattlles and all other my Personal Estate and Effects of what nature or kind soever unto my said Nephew the said Edward Howard to and for his own absolute use and benefit In Witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal the second day of January one thousand eight hundred and thirty two Robert Lowndes Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the said Robert Lowndes the Testator as And for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses John Garrard Attorney at Law Olney George Davidson Clerk to Mr Iliffe Olney
Proved at London the 16th November 1837 before the Worshipful John Danbeny Doctor of Laws and Surrogate by the Oath of Thomas Howard Esquire the Nephew the sole Executor to whom Administration was granted having been first Sworn
