Sir John Trevor of Trevalyn was Secretary of State for Charles 2nd.
He married Ruth Hampden who was the 4th Daughter but 1st surviving daughter of John Hampden who was the sworn enemy of Charles 1st. John Hampden died at Chalgrove field in 1643.
Their son Thomas was created 1st Lord Trevor of Bromham in 1712.
