In the name of God Amen I Thomas Hackett of North Crawley in the County of Bucks Esqr doe make this my last Will and Testament in manner following I doe give to God Almighty (my most mercifull God the only Joy and feare of my life) my Soule redeemed by his love in the satisfaction made for my Sinns by his only sonne my Saviour Jesus Christ my Body to be buried decently in the discretion of my Executor After much thoughtfulness in the Choyse of my Executor I doe impose the Burthen and Trouble of it upon my sonne Nicholls Hackett who doe make sole Executor To my deare wife I give whatever Plate was heretofore given to her or to my sonns Thomas or Roger she shall choose and the best Coach and best paire of Coach Horses I shall have at my death and decent mourning and to my daughter for her portion (besides the Two Thousand pounds for which my sonne hath given Bond to her by his said Bond may appeare) I doe give to her all my Woods Woodground and lands in Little Linford to her and her heires unlesse that my said sonne doe pay to her One Thousand pounds within two yeares after my decease To old Richard Sheffeild my late Tennant I give Five pounds To my servant Christopher Saxby Five pounds to each of my Household servants that live with me at my death I give Twenty shillings as to the Poore of North Crawley I doe give them five ponds To my Cosen Grace Rushton my Goddaughter I give Ten pounds to her Father and mother to each of them I give Forty shillings to buy them Ringes In Witnesse whereof I have hereunto sett my Hand and Seale this Eleventh day of May in the yeare of our Lord God One thousand six Hundred Eighty and Eight Tho: Harckett Signed Sealed and published in the presence of us these words being first written as a Codicill (Vizt) All the rest of my goods and Chattells I doe give to my Executor William Leverett the marke of Richard Sheffield Christopher Saxby

November the Fifth 1688 I haveing since the Writing of this my Will within written Married my daughter and given to her in Portion One Thousand pounds over and above the Two Thousand pounds which her brother stands bond for as is within mentioned I doe therefore revoke and annull the thousand pounds given her in this my Will and the bequest of Linford Lands and Woods for securing thereof I haveing since upon the Marriage of my Daughter settled the said woods in Mortgage for secureing the payment of one Thousand pounds as part of her portion and the summ or Legacies given to my God Daughter within mentioned the Interlined word is to be read (tenn) all this my Will is shalbe added to my Will within written as a Codicill Signed Sealed and published this as a Codicill in presence of us the marke of Richard Sheffield Christopher Saxby William Leverett
