Thomas Nash 1685
In the name of God Amen The Eight and twentieth day of December in the yeare of our Lord god one thousand six hundred Fifty and six I Thomas Nash of North Crawley in the County of Bucks yeoman being sicke in body but of good and perfect memory praised b ee god doe make and ordaine this my last will and testament in manner and forme following viz I commend my soul into the hands of the Almighty my maker and redeemer and my body to the earth whereof it was made Item I give unto the poor of the parish of North Crawley Tenn Shillings item I give and bequeath unto Thomas my eldest sonne one shillinge and to his daughter Elizabeth one shillinge Item Bernard I give and bequeath unto Bernard my youngest sonnne his heires and assianes for ever one Close divided into two parts and a barne betwixt them commonly called or knowne by the name of hangers Close scituate lyeing and being in Rightale als Ringtale and in the Parish of North Crawley aforesaid with the barne and Hedge on the Orchard side and all other the appurtenances adioyininge upon the messuage house or tenement and orchard aforesaid wherein I the said Thomas Nash now dwell and ioyneing untoWheate Craft and upon Rightayle als Ringtaile lane and alsoe I give and bequeath unto my said sonne Bernard the terme of five yeares in the fryth Pinfold Close and Carters Grove on Rightaile als Ringtaile aforesaid neare unto the said messuage or tenement with all trees timber trees bushes Hedges and fences whatsoever therein growing and the rents to belonginge for the tearme aforesaid with full power and authority to Cutt and carry away Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elzabeth Clarke one shilling and to her daughter Anne one shillinge Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Alice her heires and assignes forever one house in the Church end of North Crawley aforesaid now late in the tenure or possession of Thomas Ireland together with the yard Orchard and Pightle there unto belonginge and with all appurtenances whatsoever And I also give unto my said daughter Alice after my wives decease household stuffe to the value of twenty pounds to be taken out of the said messuage house or tenement wherein I the said Thomas Nash now dwelleth Item my minde and will is that if my said Sonne Bernard shall dye before hee attaine the age of one and twenty yeares that then my said daughter Alice shall have the said Close called Hangers Close with the barne and all appurtenances whatsoever unto her the said Alice her heires and assignes for ever and I alsoe the six yeares aforesaid or what part soever is unexpired in as ample and powerfull manner as unto my said sonne Bernard in the said Fryth Pinfold Close and Carters grove Item I give and bequeath all my goods and Chattells unbequeathed unto my loving wife whom I make and ordaine full and Sole executrix of this my last will and testament for the payment of my debts and legacies and discharge of my funerall expences And doe heereby revoke and adnull all former wills whatsoever by mee formerly made Item wittnes whereof I have heere unto subscribed my name and sett my seale unto this my last will and testament the day and yeare above written Thomas Nash published and declared in the presence of Thomas Gregorie the marke of Ralph Stringer
This will was proved at London the six and twentieth day of May in the yeare of our Lord god one thousand six hundred fyfty eight before the Judges for the probate of wills and granting administration lawfully authorized by the oath of Elizabeth Nash the relict and sole executrix therein named To whom was granted administration shee being first sworne by Commyssion well and truly to administer
