I Charles Cole Rector of Sound Mind and Memory (blessed be God) do make this my last Will and Testament in forme following Imprimis I Give and bequeath to my Eldest Son William Cole Fifty Pounds for Mourning Item I Give the like Sum to Mary his Wife for the like purpose Item I Give to my Eldest Daughter Mary Three hundred pounds Item I Give to my Youngest Daughter Elizabeth Tree hundred pounds Item I Give and bequeath to my beloved Wife Mary all my Household Furniture Plate China Linen Woollen Pewter Brass Item Water and Beer Vessells with all the Liquor I may have in the Celler on in Bottles with all my Fuel Excepting always the Clock standing in the Hall which I Give to my Son Charles Item I Give to my beloved Wife whatsoever Books she shall Chuse out of my Study and also all my Writings Item I Give to my Wife and Daughters Mary and Elizabeth what Money I have in the House with all Debts for Tyths only due at my decease to be equally Divided among them Share and Share alike Item I Give to the Poor of N Crawley the Sum of five pounds to be Distributed at the Discretion of my Wife All the rest of my Effects Land and Securitys for money I Give to my Son Charles Nelson Cole Heirs for ever Upon Condition Nevertheless that he shall pay my Legacys and also pay my Widow an Annual Rent Charge of Fifty pounds by four equal payments the first to Commence upon the first General quarter Day which shall next happen after my Death which Payment shall be made during her life and also that he the side C. Nelson Cole shall Give any my Widow und..table Security for the Just and Punctual Payment out of the said Annuity as is before Directed upon those Conditions and his Payment of my Just Debts and Funeral Charges I do hereby make the said C: N: Cole Sole Executor and residuary Legatee of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills or Codicils by me made Witness my hand this 12 day of February 1771  Chs Cole Signed Sealed and Delivered by the Testator in our Presence who attested in the Presence  of the said Testator and in the Presence of each other Wm Parker Hen Worley Mary Taylor

This Will was proved at London the Twenty Second Day of April in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Seventy one before the Worshipful William Markham Doctor of Laws Surrogate of the Right Worshipful George Hay also Doctors of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully Constituted by the Oath of Charles Nelson Cole Esquire the Son of the Deceased and Sole Executor named in the said Will to whom Administration was Granted of all and Singular  the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased he having been first Sworn duly to Administer
