The Trevor Family were in Bromham from the early 1700’s.
Sir John Trevor of Trevalyn, Denbighshire who was Secretary of State for Charles 11 married Ruth Hampden the 4th daughter of John Hampden(but 1st surviving daughter ) who was the sworn enemy of Charles 1st and who died in 1643 at Chalgrove Field.
Their son Thomas bought Bromham Hall and 3 Manors in Bromham in 1708 and was created 1st Lord Trevor of Bromham in 1712.
From there the family developed interests in Astwood and North Crawley.
