In February, we were welcomed to Milton Keynes Museum to view the newly completed ancient galleries. We learned that from ancient times, the local settlements were devoted to trade rather than manufacture, owing their position between larger settlements. We were able to see Iggy the Ichthyosaur, which had been found in Caldecotte Lake and previously held in Milton Keynes Central Library and other evidence of continuous life from ancient times.

A highlight of our visit was an invitation from Tabatha, the curator to look behind the scenes where we saw new acquisitions yet to be catalogued. One of the items was a Bronze Age gold torc unearthed in Swanbourne.
