2018 day schools were attended by 30 members and friends.
Prof. Stephen Upex, a landscape archaeologist, lectured on Early and Medieval England, life in the villages, manors, castles, agriculture and industry with illustrations of landscape evidence.
The following day Dr Frank Woodman, an architectural historian, talked about the parish church and its communities in the same period, on liturgical developments and church design, illustrated with many examples of the latter.
As usual the accommodation and food provided at Knuston Hall was excellent.
2019’s dates, with the same speakers, are the 30th and 31st July and the programme will soon be available on the website.
