On the south wall of the chancel is a group of three arches with ogee heads. The right hand pair are sedilia at different levels where the priest and assistant would have sat. The left hand arch is subdivided with a central pillar. There is a shallow bowl behind forming a piscina where the holy vessels would have been washed. In the spandrels above the arches there are the remains of shields which were almost certainly richly coloured in pre-Reformation times.
