Charles Warren and the Lost Inheritance

On 11 April 1872 Charles Warren, lies dying in Simpson House, his home for over 40 years. Since arriving in the village as a young building surveyor he has become a prosperous builder, farmer and landowner. During that April day he is visited by Charles Powell, his friend, solicitor and business partner.
