This talk by Kate Wills is about the messages and images from each Christmas of the Great War in turn, from the soldiers and nurses away on active service. As the war progresses we hear of football matches, rescue, trench raids and truces, plus scenes from hospitals and the Holy Land, and exchange Christmas puddings and cards with the fighting forces.
