A guided tour by the head gardener, Colin Roberts, including the church, which was rebuilt in the Early Decorated style in 1865 by Sir Arthur Blomfield. Followed by a cream tea.
The gardens were first developed in 1780s by Elizabeth Newell, who planted numerous trees, many of which survive today. Successive owners have continued this tradition leading to some 7,000 trees today.
40,000 daffodils have been planted in the past few years. There are about 350 different varieties blooming in the spring.
