Programme:
- 10:30 Arrival
- 11.00-12.00 Early Olney History to the Medieval Period – Tom Jones (formation of the town). Discussion.
- 12.00-1:30 pm Break (Feel free to bring a picnic)
- 1:30-2.00 pm Local Lacemaker History – Marion Swindells
- 2.00-3.00 pm Medieval period to the present day. Discussion.
- 4:30pm End
Only able to attend part of the day? No problem, please come and go at your leisure to this event.
There will be Show and Tell time within the programme. Have you got artefacts, photographs of interesting features in your house, in fact any interesting knowledge of Olney and our surrounding villages, to share? Local historian, Elizabeth Knight will be here to try to answer any questions for you.
Free entry to the gardens in which will be the marquee where the Local History Day will take place – donations welcome towards the upkeep of the Museum.
