The film gives a vivid depiction of life in the county during the Great War through a range of original visual material. The images convey the disruption to family life, how the role of women changed and how children played their part. It provides an insight into the part played by the great country houses such as Chequers and Halton as well as the contribution of Wolverton Works, Wycombe furniture makers and the county’s farms.

Visitors and new members are welcome. Visitor fee £2.00.

Preceded by the Society’s Annual General Meeting.
