For this talk Dr Gill Clarke is focusing on Stanley Spencer, a relatively local artist. Our research and recording group are turning their eyes to artist’s gardens for their next project.

Shortly after leaving the Slade School of Art, Stanley Spencer became well known for his paintings depicting Biblical scenes occurring as if in Cookham, the small village where he was born and spent much of his life.

Cost: £14 for guests, includes tea and cake after the talk.
