The beginning of the sixteenth century in Florence was an exhilarating place for an artist to work, brimming with new ideas and approaches. For a brief but intense period Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo and Raphael coincided in Florence. Explore the rivalries between the ‘big three’, and the impact that Michelangelo and Leonardo had on Raphael.

Dr Antonia Gatward Cevizli’s lecture is timed to coincide with the current Royal Academy exhibition.
