The Open University’s Music Department, the Cowper & Newton Museum and St Peter & St Paul Church, Olney are co-hosting this conference as part of a year-long programme of events to commemorate the 250th anniversary of Amazing Grace, written by the Rev John Newton.
This Open Day will be preceded on the Friday by a day of academic papers at the Open University reflecting on different aspects of the history, meanings and legacies of Amazing Grace.and followed by a concert at the church on the Sunday.
