Milton Keynes Heritage Association would like to invite member groups with archive material of their own to consider joining our next round of archive training sessions in 2025.
The free course comprises 6 x 2-hour monthly sessions + optional practical support:
- 2-4pm at The National Museum of Computing (next to Bletchley Park.)
- Detailed course material slide presentation + Q&A
- Hot drinks and refreshment break
- Practical demonstration and/or exercise
- Distribution of technical hand-outs
- Pdf copy of slides
- Optional practical sessions at LAMK Training Hut at MK Museum
- £150 grant for preservation materials on course completion.
The sessions are:
- Scoping your collection – Wednesday, 22nd January 2025
- Handling & Storage – Wednesday, 19th February 2025
- Cataloguing – Wednesday, 19th March 2025
- Copyright & Legal – April
- Digitisation & Back-up – May
- Exhibiting & Display – June.
The course is open to both existing and new members.
