We will study some of the exhibits at the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts which will include furniture by Emile-Jacques Rulhmann; glassware by René Lalique; modern period sculpture by François Pompon and paintings by the artist Jean Dupas.
Our love affair with civic and domestic buildings of the 1920s and 1930s will be examined – looking at hotels, restaurants, tube stations and other public and private buildings.
The final lecture introduces us to the creative designs and colours used by textile designer Marion Dorn.
