Enjoy a fascinating guided tour set in Cowper’s former home, where he lived from 1768 to 1786. Discover how the lives of William Cowper and John Newton became closely intertwined — through Cowper’s poetry and prolific letter-writing, the Olney Hymns, and Newton’s world-famous hymn Amazing Grace, whose 250th anniversary was commemorated in 2023.
Along the way, your guide will bring their stories to life by showcasing key objects from the Museum’s remarkable collection of 12,000 artefacts, gathered over 126 years.
