This talk will present archaeological evidence for the production of pottery in the so-called Upper Nene Valley region of central England during the first to third centuries AD. In so doing it will be argued that by studying archaeological evidence sensitively and on its own terms, important aspects of the working lives of otherwise lost craftspeople can be brought to light.

Speaker: Dr Adam Sutton, Aurelius Archaeology.
