Mark Steinhardt (https://marksteinhardt.co.uk/) has created a performance based on an archive of letters from Walter Croft, a young signaller who writes home to his family describing what he and his comrades are enduring. Inevitably he was killed on the Somme but he left this moving account of his steady physical and mental erosion. Through these letters and this performance one man is lifted clear of the great mass of the dead.

Visitors £3.00. Refreshments available.
