Cursus Monuments of Buckinghamshire and the Great Ouse Valley

A cursus is an elongated rectilinear earthwork enclosure whose length is over 250m and whose long axis is more than ten times the short axis. The function of cursuses is not known, although they are presumed to be ritual/ceremonial monuments.

Speaker: Dr David Saunders. He has spent the last six years excavating within the Stonehenge World Heritage Site at the Mesolithic site at Blick Mead.
