There were originally 3 mileposts located in Gayhurst and Stoke Goldington villages, erected by the Newport Pagnell to Northampton Turnpike Trust in the 19th Century.
Sadly these have disappeared over the years and only these photographs remain:
Gayhurst – cast iron post by the B526 opposite the Old Cottage, 100m north of the Sir Francis Drake PH and lane to Gayhurst House
Stoke Goldington – South
Bucks cast iron post located SE of village, on the West side of the B526 road.
Stoke Goldington – North
Located at the High Street NW on the wide grass verge under trees and bushes, south of Church Lane. Lost since 2005
