| Arthur Grace was born in Amersham, Bucks. He was sworn in the Bucks Constabulary on the 26th November 1892. He was 20 years old, unmarried and worked as a labourer at Acton. Description:- He was 5 feet 9 inches tall of proportionate build. He had grey eyes and light brown hair |

Chief Constable’s Office, Aylesbury, 28th December 1894. Police Constable 40 Arthur Grace is reprimanded for neglect of duty on the night of the 22nd instant. Signed J.C.T. Drake, Chief Constable. Chief Constable’s Office, Aylesbury, 11th July 1899. Police Constable 40 Arthur Grace is severely reprimanded and fined 7/6 for drinking in the “Stag” Public House at Mentmore whilst on duty on the 4th ultimo. Signed Otway Mayne Major, Chief Constable. Chief Constable’s Office, Aylesbury, 26th May 1900. Police Constable 40 Arthur Grace is reprimanded for having on the 25th April when on duty at the Cowper Centenary Fete at Olney asked for an allowance for refreshments. He will refund the 5/- received by him to his Superintendent, who will return it to Mr. Whitlock. PC Grace’s special duty allowance of 2/- for that day is disallowed. Merit Class Constable 40 Arthur Grace (28/6 per week) is reduced to First Class Constable, from this date inclusive, for having on the 29th August, when sent on special duty from Stoke Goldington to Northampton to make enquiries as to stolen property, been drunk and remained absent from his station till 8.30pm on the 30th August. On the recommendation of Supt. Pearce a grant of £2.12.6. from the above Fund is made to Police Constable 40 Arthur Grace, on account of expenses incurred through the illness of his daughter.
