The manufacture of ‘lead crystal’ glass in the late 17th century enabled English glass makers to compete with the European industry.
The speaker is Simon Cottle, formerly of Bonhams and Sotheby’s. He started his career in museums as a senior curator of ceramics, glass and silver.
