The story of how the Kings College Cambridge Nine Lessons and Carols came about. The King’s College Cambridge Nine Lessons and Carols service was established in 1918 by Eric Milner-White to bring more imaginative worship to the College after World War I.

While the service format originated at Truro Cathedral in 1880, Milner-White adapted it for the King’s College Chapel, intending to offer comfort and a spiritual connection to the community after the war. The first service took place on Christmas Eve 1918 and has been broadcast on the radio since 1928.

£4.00 for non-members.
