The station building is built in the distinctive Victorian Gothic ‘Cottage Orné’ style, and the restoration has won a number of awards.
Facilities include the Tea Room, the original Victorian (1846) Booking Office hosting a range of temporary exhibitions throughout the year, a Gift Shop and Tourist Information Point and a meeting room for hire.
