The Archive

The Society's archive is made up of historical and contemporary collections and aims to record and preserve the heritage of the area for the future. Material loaned to us is often digitised and returned, but the Society has a large collection of donated material - photographs, documents and artefacts. Please browse items from the collection which we will aim to update on a regular basis.

Deanshanger was once part of the old Parish of Passenham which also included, Old Stratford and Puxley and made much of their histories interdependence, in addition the hamlets of Little London and Holywell formed part of Deanshanger. More recently this rural South Northamptonshire village, located on the border of Milton Keynes, has expanded as a consequence of the closure of the oxide works and the growth of the new 'city'.

If you would like further information or wish to loan/donate material to the archive and help build and preserve the history of the people and the area please contact us at: info@deanshangerheritage.org.uk
