This free online event is an investigation and discussion of the geophysical anomalies observed in the thirty hectare survey of the land surrounding the Romano-British villa.
The zoom session will comment on the character, range, and extent of those anomalies, placing them in the context of the site, the surrounding landscape and the extent of the possible estate. Stephen Young’s talk will reflect on the meaning of the findings in relation to academic understanding of such settlements and outline in greater detail the nature of Roman occupation in the watershed of the river Nene as witnessed on this site.
