The Huguenots are a religious group of French Protestants who held to the Calvinist tradition of Protestantism. Under Louis XIV they were forced to either convert to Catholicism or flee as refugees. Most of the Huguenot émigrés moved to Protestant states such as the Dutch Republic or England, predominately in Kent and London, 

Speaker: Gill Blanchard. Gill  is a professional genealogist, author and house historian. Her books include Tracing Your House History and Writing Your Family History.
