Milton Keynes Museum
Sunday, 21st July 2024 from 11.00 am to 2.00 pm
McConnell Drive, Wolverton MK12 5EL
As part of the Museum for a New City project, the Museum wants to hear what residents of Milton Keynes would like to see in a new exhibition about the planning and development of the city.
Travel back to the 1970s and explore what was going on in the world when people started moving to MK and making a new life for themselves. There will be a 1970s show home room, music from the period, images, videos of the the early days of Milton Keynes and a dress up box. Participate in design activities that delve into how the Development Corporation transformed the predominantly farmland region into the thriving New Town of Milton Keynes.
Project partner Milton Keynes City Discovery Centre will be running the session.
