… is painted on the walls of St Guthlac’s in the images of Christ and his Prophets and Saints. In this talk we ask how this story would have been understood by the Faithful of the time, and also consider what the work means to us today. And what do we make of the carved grotesques in the darkness underneath the seats of the choirstalls?
